This course prepares the students to take up various positions in the banking industry and financial services industry. The course is also a stepping stone for students aspiring to undertake higher education in Commerce, Banking, Management, etc. After completion of B.Com (Bank management), students can go for employment in public or private sector banks and financial services industry.
Banking is essentially the process through which a financial intermediary accepts deposits as well as channels the same into lending activities either through capital markets or directly.
Insurance is essentially risk management, which helps hedge against uncertain losses. Subjects studied under this degree are Business Communication, Environmental Studies, Business Economics Paper, Accountancy & Financial Management Paper and Mathematical & Statistical Techniques.
3 years, six semesters.
Pass in 10 + 2 / 12th Standard Commerce/Humanities with minimum 50% marks.
Entry level positions to officers level in PSU banks and as entry level executives in Private sector banks.financial services industry to take up marketing operations and HR related Assignments, Corporate sector in Finance, Marketing, HR and other administrative departments. Tax Department, Job roles in companies, banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, commercial firms, business houses, Reserve Bank of India, Standard Chartered Bank, Nationalized banks, Private sector banks such as Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Indus Ind Bank,HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank etc.
